It was never going to be simple. Manchester United fought tooth and nail at Old Trafford to beat Lyon 5-4 and earn their spot in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
It looked comfortable for Ruben Amorim’s side when they were 2-0 up at half-time, but fans began to pour out of Old Trafford after 10-men Lyon took a 4-2 lead.
But in a chaotic seven-minute spell, United completed a jaw-dropping comeback with Harry Maguire scoring the winner in dramatic fashion.

Andre Onana embraces Ruben Amorim after Man United winner
There has been a huge media spotlight on Andre Onana during United’s two legs against Lyon, with the goalkeeper involved in a war of words with Nemanja Matic before the first clash.
Onana was dropped by Amorim for the Newcastle game on the weekend, but recalled for the all-important Lyon clash.
Amorim kept his faith in Onana despite his underwhelming performances, and the shot-stopper only had one thing on his mind when United scored.
Onana sprinted half of the pitch to embrace Amorim on the touchline, before also sharing a special moment with Altay Bayindir.
Ruben Amorim is loved at Man United
Everyone associated with United knew that the entire season hinged on beating Lyon, and Amorim issued a rallying cry just hours before kick-off.
Players responded and continued to fight until the very end in the United way.
