Manchester United youngster Louis Jackson has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Louis Jackson signs professional contract

Louis Jackson was part of the Manchester United under-18s side which won the FA Youth Cup last season.

The 16-year-old centre-back started the final at Old Trafford and has already been part of under-21 squads.

Last month  The Guardian named Jackson as Manchester United’s brightest prospect in his age range.

Jackson made his under-18s debut for United at just 15.

The teenager has represented both England and Scotland at international youth level so far in his blossoming career.

It is important for United to tie down the futures of the club’s FA Youth Cup winning squad, and Jackson is one who the club will have high hopes for.

Kobbie Mainoo, Tyler Fredricson and Maxi Oyedele are among the players from the side to sign professional contracts over the summer.
