Manchester United have announced the traveling squad for the Super Cup NI.

Bendito Mantato is one of the Manchester United youngsters on tour with Ruben Amorim’s first team squad in the USA right now. Just one year ago he was playing at a youth tournament for Manchester United in Northern Ireland.

For approaching 40 years, Manchester United have been sending a young squad to compete at the Super Cup NI, previously known as the Milk Cup.

This year the tournament is held in Coleraine, with teams from Mexico and Japan involved. And through the years, many Manchester United players have featured in the competition.

David Beckham, Marcus Rashford, Danny Welbeck, Jesse Lingard, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Gary Neville are among those to play at the tournament.

Bendito Mantato’s rapid rise to first team contention follows his star-turn at the tournament in 2024, and the next set of prospects are in line to feature.

Manchester United squad for Super Cup NI

Manchester United have sent a squad of 18 young players to feature at the Super Cup NI in 2025, set to kick off this week.

While there is no place for wonderkid JJ Gabriel, there are a number of notable names including the Nkoto twins, who starred in the competition in 2024.

Last summer’s academy signing from Reading, striker Camron Mpofu is among the players set to feature.

There are some notable siblings and sons in the squad too, from a United perspective.

Gazimagamed Ibragimov is the younger brother of current under-18s star Ibrahim Ibragimov, while Tunde Shoretire is the younger sibling of former United talent Shola Shoretire.

Jacey Carrick is the son of Manchester United hero Michael Carrick, while Kai Rooney is the son of Manchester United record goalscorer Wayne Rooney.

Man Utd’s Super Cup NI fixtures

Manchester United’s young team will be competing in the Boys Premier competition at the Super Cup NI, in Group C with Rangers, Co Tyrone, and West Cork.

Further fixtures will be scheduled if Manchester United’s young team progresses beyond the group stage.
