The options in Manchester United’s academy right now are frighteningly strong with Gabriele Biancheri now sending a message.

The Manchester United academy is on a real hot streak at the moment, continuing the U18’s success last season with some impressive outings to start this season.

Jack Fletcher has caught the eye already this season, scoring goals and making himself one of the most exciting names for Manchester United right now.

Now, Gabriele Biancheri has once again been a shining light, scoring two goals for the U18s against Leicester – dragging the Red Devils to a 2-1 win.

Gabriele Biancheri sends Erik ten Hag a message

Biancheri scored last weekend against Man City, Biancheri was once more among the goals as United faced Leicester in the U18 Premier League Cup.

Away from home, United went 1-0 down in the 57th minute through an Olabade Aluko penalty strike.

The lead was held for 22 minutes until Biancheri pulled United level. The winner then came quite dramatically, with Biancheri converting from the spot in the 97th minute of the game.

This is the latest example of Biancheri’s quality and it surely will grab the attention of Erik ten Hag, with a third striker spot looking less and less like it should be Ethan Wheatley’s by default.

With Chido Obi-Martin coming in, there are now three strikers who will be fighting for minutes and if these Biancheri performances continue, he absolutely deserves a chance this season – perhaps in the Europa League.

Manchester United have another star on the cards

Before the season had even started, Biancheri showed how talented he is and that he was ready for an improved role.

The performance by Biancheri against Chester showcased this, with a brace against senior opponents proving that Biancheri had found a new level.

Biancheri also grabbed three for the U19s during a tournament in Croatia during pre-season.

With these performances, Biancheri’s stock has been on the rise, and if it continues he will undoubtedly end up ranked among the best prospects at Carrington in no time at all.
