Gabriele Biancheri picked up an injury earlier this month, derailing his mammoth campaign.

It was a blow for the academy’s standout performer this season.

With 20 goals scored for the Manchester United academy before Christmas, Gabriele Biancheri has emerged as a very exciting talent.

Biancheri’s performances have left him knocking on the door of a call-up. Not only has his goal record caught the eye but also Biancheri has shown an impressive mentality that could lend itself well to his future senior career.

After a simply sublime start to 2024/25, Biancheri’s new year has taken a hit.

Gabriele Biancheri set to return from injury next month

After how impressive Biancheri was for the past three or four months, the start of 2025 has been a lot slower.

Biancheri picked up an injury earlier this month and was pictured having undergone surgery on a broken hand.

With a period on the sidelines, the return of Wales’ U19 striker is eagerly anticipated and now the Daily Mail has revealed when it can be expected.

The report claims that Biancheri will be absent for around a month with his broken hand.

This unfortunately does mean he is likely to miss United’s FA Youth Cup tie against Chelsea on the 8th of February.

Biancheri has been incredible for Manchester United

With United’s U18 side being as immaculate as it is right now, to be a standout player means being an immense talent.

That is exactly what Biancheri is, having proven it at both U18 and U21 levels this season.

Biancheri has been scoring goals for fun and makes youth football look like a cakewalk for him.

The only issue likely preventing Ruben Amorim from promoting Biancheri is his height and lack of physicality – something which other youth strikers like Chido Obi do not lack.

Obi was used as a left-sided No.10 for United against Coventry in the FA Youth Cup which could be a way he can impress Amorim.

First, we eagerly await his return in which we hope to see goals flowing again.
