Manchester United’s senior team have a calm February by their usual standards but the academy continues to face one marquee game after another.
Man Utd U18s recently lost to Man City U18s while the U21s dropped a nervy penalty shootout to West Ham U21s but their season remains on track.
The U18 side most recently took on Liverpool U18s where they allowed the opposition to come back from two goals down to draw 2-2.
While the result was deflating, the coaches and players celebrated the return of a player who was on the sidelines for nearly eight months, with Chido Obi reacting to it.

James Overy makes Man Utd U18s return
James Overy was an exciting academy signing made in the summer, the Australian right-back arriving from Perth Glory for an undisclosed fee.
His arrival went under the radar amidst the high-profile arrivals of the likes of Chido Obi, Sekou Kone, Samuel Lusale, and more.
That is because Overy picked up a long-term injury almost immediately after arrival, causing him to miss eight months of football.

Against Liverpool, Overy made his debut for the Man Utd 18s, coming off the bench in the 71st minute for captain Reece Munro, United leading 1-2.
They could concede another late goal to draw 2-2 but it was a major positive and a step forward for Overy, who can look forward to getting back on track and establishing himself at Old Trafford.
Chido Obi reacts to Overy’s return message
After the game, Overy went on Instagram and posted a message expressing relief and excitement at finally getting back on the pitch.
He said: “Great feeling to be back after a tough 8 months out with injury,” with three pictures of himself in action.

Clearly already a popular figure in the dressing room, the replies section was flooded with messages of support from his teammates.
Chido Obi said, “Finally”, with a heart emoji, while Sekou Kone said, “Let’s go mon frere”, translating to “Let’s go, my brother.” .
Shea Lacey, who made a return of his own after injury, said, “Well done brother”, while Samuel Lusale expressed excitement for the future with a four-word message: “We are so back”.

Adam Lawrence and his exciting team of young stars will hope Lusale’s message proves to be prophetic after recent hiccups saw them concede first place to Man City U18s.
They will be next in action against Newcastle United U18s on February 15.
