Manchester United’s U18 side were looking to get back in the win column on Saturday morning on a visit to Liverpool.
After losing to Manchester City last weekend and then on penalties to West Ham on Tuesday, it was another disappointing outing for Adam Lawrence’s side against Liverpool.
After racing to a 2-0 lead, United’s performance dipped and this led to Liverpool drawing level.
Victor Musa scored both goals for United, while other notable events saw Shea Lacey make his return. Meanwhile, James Overy debuted after his summer move.

Lawrence will be frustrated
Another week, and another result which Lawrence will have watched and will believe his side should have done better with plenty of chances to put the game beyond doubt.

Despite this stumble – United remain three points behind City with a game in hand, so the race to the title is still wide open.

The past week has seen form which Adam Lawrence is completely not used to seeing. Three games without a win – and in all three United could very easily have picked up the victory.
Next up, it’s the FA Youth Cup against Chelsea which presents a huge task for the U18s. Hopefully, we see more of Lacey and returns to the likes of Biancheri, Obi and Ibragimov to avoid another disappointing result.
