Manchester United’s U18s continued the 100 per cent record in the U18 Premier League this season with a 3-0 win over Stoke.
Adam Lawrence’s phenomenal U18 side made it 10 wins from 10 on Saturday as Manchester United defeated Stoke 3-0.
In the game, it was Chido Obi-Martin who opened the scoring from the spot, fresh off signing his first professional contract with United.

This was Obi-Martin’s sixth in six games for United at U18 level – and the second successive game he’s bagged in, after also scoring against Leeds.
But Obi-Martin’s strike against Stoke was a special one for him personally, as he took to Instagram to share after the game.

Chido Obi-Martin smashes U18 scoring record
Obi-Martin has been living up to his billing so far since joining United at the start of October, with goals flowing almost uncontrollably when he starts for the U18s.
However, this latest goal shows his scoring record at U18 in full light and it is very impressive.
Posting on his Instagram post-game, Obi-Martin wrote: “Nice team win, happy to become the record goalscorer in the Premier League U18’s history.”
| No. | Player | Games | Goals |
| 1 | Chido Obi-Martin | 23 | 37 |
| 2 | Ellis Simms | 38 | 36 |
| 3 | Folarin Balogun | 33 | 34 |
| 4 | Reo Griffiths | 34 | 34 |
| 5 | Oakley Cannonier | 34 | 32 |
Impressively, Obi-Martin has scored more in 15 games less and over 1,000 minutes less than the rest of the top four – which shows how good in front of goal Obi-Martin is.
Breaking the record has wowed his teammates too, with Shea Lacey among those to react as he commented a heart and a clapping emoji. While Tyler Fletcher also commented, writing: “Ma boyyy”, with a heart emoji.
As good as this record is, it also perhaps suggests he needs more of a challenge, with U21 and senior football in his near future.
Manchester United first team beckons for Obi-Martin
With goalscoring no problem for Obi-Martin, it will be a matter of time until Ruben Amorim decides to give the Dane a chance.
Amorim is already aware of his ability, with both Jason Wilcox and Darren Fletcher raving about Obi-Martin on week one.
Obi-Martin is one of the best teenagers on the planet and his arrival is expected to be the future solution to United’s striker problem.
However, under Amorim, this could come sooner than expected with the 17-year-old already knocking on the door with Joshua Zirkzee expected to depart. 2025 could see Obi-Martin potentially even feature in the FA Cup or next summer’s tour.
