Manchester United are being connected with a shock deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Despite having a lack of funds to splash in the transfer window, Manchester United’s door for incoming signings is not closed.
United can free up funds by selling players, and one high profile swap deal being proposed is a move involving Victor Osimhen.
Napoli are keen on a move for Marcus Rashford, and the two clubs could engineer a swoop to send Osimhen in the other direction, The Sun report.

Victor Osimhen’s dream
Victor Osimhen is currently playing in the Turkish Super Lig on loan at Galatasaray, after falling out with the Napoli hierarchy.
The Nigerian striker has scored 12 goals this season already for his club, but his solution is only a temporary fix.
A move to Manchester United could give Osimhen the dream move he has longed for, and made no secret of, to play in the Premier League.
“I think it is an ambition of all players. And who knows, maybe one day,” he admitted in 2023.
The same year he told Sky Sports: “I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”

Osimhen deal tricky to do
Victor Osimhen did too well at Napoli, pricing himself out of a move to the Premier League, with the Italian club seeking upwards of £100 million for his signature.
This led to a breakdown in relations between Osimhen and the club in the summer, resulting in a last-ditch loan to Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old would command high wages, and a big transfer fee – yet so would Marcus Rashford, going in the other direction.
It would require everybody to be on the same page to faciliate a deal – yet Osimhen’s desire to play in the Premier League is one reason why a move could yet happen.
