Manchester United have placed a keen focus on signing young players for the future since Ineos arrived but one target may not be available in January.
Ineos oversaw their first summer transfer window at Manchester United and invested in five first-team signings.
Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee were all signed as United started the Ineos era.
One key feature of the United business was adding young talents for the future.
It wasn’t just Yoro; United also brought in the likes of James Overy and Samuel Lusale whilst Chido Obi-Martin arrived from Arsenal.
United also signed Sekou Kone with Ineos deciding to bring a handful of wonderkids to Old Trafford.

Manchester United handed Chris Rigg blow
United are likely to consider this approach moving forward but one January target looks difficult to land.
The Northern Echo report that Sunderland are ‘aware’ of growing interest from United in teenager Chris Rigg.
Sunderland may be anticipating a move for Rigg but it’s stated that they have confidence in him not having his head turned by a move to Old Trafford.
17-year-old Rigg signed a professional deal with Sunderland over the summer and the Black Cats expect him to stay put.
The report adds that a January approach from United for Rigg is ‘likely’ with Dan Ashworth and co seemingly a big fan.
United allegedly view Rigg as ‘the most appealing young domestic talent’ who could move in the January window.
Sunderland are determined not to sell though with the Black Cats chasing promotion to the Premier League.
Rigg has scored three times in 14 Championship games this season and will have a huge role to play in their promotion hopes.
United eyeing other teenagers
United may still make a move for Rigg and it may be wise to attempt a deal which sees the midfielder return to Sunderland on loan before heading to Old Trafford.
Praised as ‘wonderful’ by former Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray whilst speaking to The Chronicle, Rigg looks set for a huge future.
United will hope that future lies at Old Trafford but he is not the only teenage target on the radar.
United want to sign Sverre Nypan with the Rosenborg midfielder considered to be a ‘generational talent’ over in Norway.
St Pat’s Athletic striker Michael Noonan is on United’s radar but he looks more likely to join Manchester City as things stand.
Add in Ruben Amorim’s interest in Sporting wonderkid Geovany Quenda and United are likely to continue trying to sign top talents as Ineos plan for the future.
