Manchester United are expected to sign a striker this summer, with options emerging both at home and abroad.
Ruben Amorim’s full focus is on the Europa League as Manchester United prepare to Athletic Club in the semi-finals.
Amorim overlooked the Europa League in March, but now knows it’s the most important thing to United this season.
Winning the competition and securing Champions League football would be huge for United, especially with a vital transfer window to come.
United are closing in on signing Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to reports.
Paul Scholes has doubts about Cunha’s arrival, but the Brazilian will offer quality in a number 10 role – and hopefully supply a new striker.

Manchester United target Mateo Retegui receives lofty price tag
United want Liam Delap, but will also look further afield for potential striking additions.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike is on United’s radar, whilst one striker in Serie A is catching the eye.
Reports earlier this year indicated that United are interested in signing Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui.
The rumours continued last week as United allegedly scouted Retegui in action for Atalanta against AC Milan.
The Argentina-born Italy forward has been a goalscoring phenomenon this season, smashing 24 goals in 32 Serie A games.
United appear to be keen on the 26-year-old, but will face paying a hefty price tag this summer.
Tuttomercatoweb claim that Atalanta would sell Retegui for around €60million (£51million) in order to make a huge profit on the striker they signed from Genoa last summer.
One Saudi Arabian club failed with a €70million (£60million) offer for Retegui in January, with Atalanta completely refusing to sell in the middle of the season.
United are believed to have recently lodged an enquiry, with Atalanta now willing to sell for a little less in the summer window.
United could launch double raid on Atalanta
Retegui is not the only Atalanta star on United’s radar.
Ederson is United’s ‘dream’ target in midfield according to Fabrizio Romano, with the Brazilian shining for Atalanta.
A double swoop for both Ederson and Retegui would cost huge money but would help solve two problems.
United need more quality in midfield and Ederson’s ability to play box-to-box or in a deep role would give Amorim some flexibility.
Retegui has been a killer in front of goal this season and his extra bit of experience could be key in terms of helping Rasmus Hojlund – formerly of Atalanta himself – in the United attack.
The deal for Cunha will take a huge chunk of United’s budget, though, and may mean that a double deal for Ederson and Retegui becomes difficult unless big sales are made.
