Reports in France claim that Phil Jones is set to leave Manchester United and join Bordeaux on loan for the rest of the season.
Foot Mercato report that a deal has been agreed for Jones to spend the remainder of the campaign with the Ligue 1 club.
They have shuffled their squad around and impending departures mean they have the space in the squad and funds to bring in Jones.
The England international has played just once this season; the hugely impressive comeback display against Wolves, but he has not been able to build on that.

Bordeaux sporting director Admar Lopes personally did what was necessary to convince Jones to come, according to the report.
It will be an interesting new challenge for Jones, who has played for English clubs throughout his career.
The aim has to be playing regular football and proving his fitness on a regular basis after nearly two years out of the game.
When everybody is fit, United have four central defensive options ahead of him in the pecking order, which makes his chances of gametime slim.

United fans were pleased to see him back playing again and his commitment cannot be doubted. It is just to be hoped he gets some good luck with injuries.
Bordeaux are currently just one place above the relegation spots in Ligue 1, out of the drop zone by a point after a disappointing season.
That means that Jones will be going into a pressure situation if he does depart as expected, and it could reinvigorate him.
The best case scenario is an eventual England recall, but that is some way off until he proves his fitness and offers a reminder of his quality on a consistent basis.
