Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri is having an eventful Saturday night, with his loan move to Sevilla potentially being hijacked.
Erik ten Hag introduced Hannibal Mejbri to the first team this season and he was an immediate hit as he scored a wondergoal against Brighton.
However, since then despite starting a fair few games to begin with, he has slowly dropped out of the picture playing just 21 minutes since starting against Burnley.
So considering his lack of game time, a loan was always thought to be on the cards and earlier on Saturday evening, it seemed he was about to get his loan.
It was reported that he was on the verge of joining Sevilla until the end of the season – with a potential buy option said to be included.
However, just hours later there has been an update.

Hannibal Mejbri could be set to join Everton
On Saturday evening, it was reported that Everton were now trying to hijack Sevilla’s deal to sign Hannibal.
Fabrizio Romano reported that the Premier League side are in contact with United – as are Sevilla – but nothing is done just yet.
He concluded by explaining that it’s now up to Hannibal to make the decision on where he’d be best suited going to.
A move to remain in the Premier League would be the ideal outcome for United as it’d be a better view of how good he could be as a regular for United.
Hannibal deserves a loan move away from United
Just last season, Hannibal was on loan in the Championship at Birmingham. Upon returning he impressed in preseason enough to force himself into the plans of Ten Hag.
But despite performing better than certain other players, he was seldom seen on the pitch.
So this move whether it be to Everton or Sevilla is a deserved move which will see him improve ten-fold as a player.
It’ll be interesting to watch him in action over the remainder of this season.
