Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri appears to be heading for Spain having decided to join Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season.
United have already allowed one midfielder to go out on loan this month with Donny van de Beek heading to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Erik ten Hag isn’t exactly blessed with midfield options right now with Casemiro and Mason Mount only just returning this month.
That seemingly won’t stop United loaning out another midfielder though with Hannibal Mejbri seemingly on his way out…
Hannibal Mejbri set to leave Manchester United for Sevilla loan
Fabrizio Romano now reports that Hannibal has decided to leave United for a loan move to Spanish side Sevilla.
It’s stated that French side Lyon and Bundesliga outfit Freiburg also asked to sign Hannibal on loan.
However, the Tunisian international has decided to join Sevilla and the final terms of the loan move will now be thrashed out.
Romano even claims that a potential purchase option with a buy-back clause will now be discussed.
That would see United have the option to bring Hannibal back if Sevilla want to sign him permanently.
Hannibal won’t play at the Africa Cup of Nations in order to move out on loan and it now looks like he will be heading to Spain very soon.

United right to include potential Hannibal buy-back
Hannibal has certainly shown enough potential to suggest that he can become a first-team player at Old Trafford one day.
The 20-year-old has shown real energy and tenacity when given an opportunity to shine and scored a superb goal against Brighton and Hove Albion in September.
Hailed as an ‘immense talent’ by Nicky Butt, Hannibal has only started one Premier League game this season and needs first-team action.
A move to Spain could be ideal for his development but there is real scope for Hannibal to become a star in the coming years.
United need to have some kind of option to bring Hannibal back to the club if he does start to fulfil his potential, presenting the chance for him to shine in a United shirt down the line.
