Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has hit the ground running at Barcelona this season which has sparked up talks of his future.
It became blindingly clear that Marcus Rashford would continue his career away from Manchester United when he was frozen out of the squad by Ruben Amorim last season.
Rashford’s ‘dream’ was to join Barcelona, and his wish came true this summer when the Spanish side swooped in with a loan deal.
There is a buy option for Rashford which Barcelona can trigger in 2026, but ongoing reports of Barcelona’s financial issues have complicated matters.

Marcus Rashford will not entertain other clubs
A report from CaughtOffside claims that as many as six other clubs across Europe are monitoring Rashford’s situation at Barcelona. PSG, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be interested.
But United in Focus have spoken exclusively to transfer expert Graeme Bailey, and it is understood that Rashford would not entertain any other club this summer, even if Barcelona struggle to pay the £30million asking price.
Rashford is enjoying his football at Barcelona with six goals and five assists across all competitions so far this season.
Barcelona have not indicated any issues heading into 2026 regarding the potential deal for Rashford. Instead, it is believed that Barcelona would consider a deal in January – but only if United offered a sizeable reduction in price – something that is currently considered highly unlikely.
Bailey said: “I am told that Marcus Rashford is as happy now as he has been at any point of his career. Rashford secured his dream move in the summer and things could not be going any better.
“He is in superb form, he loves working for Hansi Flick – who is a huge fan – he loves his teammates and the fans have taken him on.
“It would take an amazing series of events for him not to be at Barcelona next season and beyond. As we saw in the summer, Rashford made it clear to Man United that he only wanted to be in Barcelona and that remains his stance.”
Barcelona are happy with Marcus Rashford
Rashford blamed United’s environment for his inconsistency in recent years, and it seems he is finally getting back to his best in Spain.
Back in Manchester, Amorim has already moved on from Rashford, and frankly, it would be in the best interest of the club and the player for him to make his move permanent.
Thankfully, it seems Barcelona are also wanting to make the deal permanent as soon as possible.
Bailey mentioned that manager Hansi Flick is pleased with Rashford so far, and he piled praise on the English forward following his latest performance.

Speaking in his post-match press conference after beating Elche, Flick said: “I think we can be happy with him, of course. I’m happy with him.
“I know he can play at this level. I’m really pleased that he’s shown that for the fans, for the club, and also for his teammates. He’s a very important player.”
