Manchester United want striker Bruno Fernandes tipped for the top with ‘promising’ verdict just 18 months ago

Manchester United have been quiet in the January transfer window but one potential signing keeps coming up.

Ruben Amorim no doubt wishes that he could make a few additions to his Manchester United squad this month.

The last two performances at Liverpool and Arsenal have been an improvement but United still have a long way to go.

The problems for Amorim is that January signings seem a little unlikely at this stage.

United’s £100million summer net spend means there isn’t much room in the budget for incomings.

Some creativity may therefore be needed in order to bring in new recruits and another attacker continues to be rumoured.

Randal Kolo Muani to Manchester United rumours

Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani is the man in question.

Kolo Muani has been ditched by PSG boss Luis Enrique with the forward seemingly having no future in the French capital.

Reports last week suggested that United are ‘determined’ to sign Kolo Muani and will do ‘everything possible’ to seal his signature.

It was claimed that United have held talks with Kolo Muani’s representatives and negotiations with PSG would follow.

United are interested in a loan deal with an option to buy on Kolo Muani, who cost PSG around £76.4million according to BBC Sport.

Kolo Muani has not lived up to that price tag though, notching just 11 goals and seven assists in 54 appearances for PSG.

United held talks to sign Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 but ended up going with Rasmus Hojlund instead.

Much may depend on Joshua Zirkzee’s future but there is a chance that United end up with both Hojlund and Kolo Muani at Amorim’s disposal.

Bruno Fernandes post comment on Randal Kolo Muani

Kolo Muani needs to get his career back on track with the 26-year-old looking too recapture the form he showed with Eintracht Frankfurt.

We also saw Kolo Muani make a big impact for France at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which certainly played a factor in the huge fee PSG paid.

Bruno Fernandes was even impressed with Kolo Muani too with the United captain offering praise to the Frenchman in the summer of 2023.

Speaking whilst promoting a real life football stock smart called Royaltiz, Fernandes offered his top three investments.

Fernandes went with AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, former United defender Eric Bailly and then Kolo Muani.

“My third choice goes to [Randal] Kolo-Muani. I think he’s doing really well,” said Bruno.

“We saw it in the World Cup that he was good. But I think now, during the season he’s been doing even better. I think he’s as together with Rafa is one of the most promising talents in the world right now,” he added.

Kolo Muani hasn’t quite managed to live up to that praise from Bruno and his next move will now be a crucial one.

Few could blame Kolo Muani for fancying a move to United to play alongside Bruno.

Not only does Bruno have the creativity to provide Kolo Muani with real goalscoring chances, but it’s clear that the United skipper has real belief in Kolo Muani’s talents.

That is something Kolo Muani must consider as he weighs up his next move after a difficult 18-month period with PSG.
