Manchester United invested in a new striker over the summer but may head back into the market for another forward in 2025.
Manchester United simply had to add another forward alongside Rasmus Hojlund over the summer.
The Dane has potential but he needed more support in the final third – as we saw last season.
Anthony Martial was almost invisible last season before leaving at the end of his contract, with United spending on a new striker.
United spent £36million on Joshua Zirkzee but the Dutchman has yet to really impress since his move to Old Trafford.
That means United may look towards another new signing in 2025 – and a number of names have been floated.

Manchester United want Serie A goalscorer
Ruben Amorim is keen on Viktor Gyokeres after seeing the Swede become a goal machine under his stewardship at Sporting.
United fans want Gyokeres too but another strike appears to be on the wish list – and it would involve another raid on the Serie A market.
Hojlund and Zirkzee both arrived from Italy and Tuttomercatoweb report that United are now looking towards Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic.
It’s stated that United and Arsenal are both keen on Vlahovic – but with an eye towards the end of the season rather than in January.
Prising Vlahovic away from Juventus in January won’t be easy but his contract situation is one to keep an eye on.
Vlahovic is out of contract in 2026 and Juventus are yet to make progress on a new deal.
Come the summer, Vlahovic will have just one year left on his contract – and that could be prime time for United to strike.

Dusan Vlahovic swap deal already suggested
Vlahovic is a proven goalscorer in Serie A having racked up 84 goals in 187 appearances across spells with Juve and Fiorentina.
Vlahovic has been described as ‘extraordinary’ by Juve hero Alessio Tacchinardi whilst speaking to Tutto Juve and is only 24, meaning he should have many years at the top still to come.
United’s interest in Vlahovic certainly makes sense and would give United a more consistent source of goals than Zirkzee.
In fact, Italian pundit Massimo Orlando has suggested a United swap deal for Vlahovic in recent months.
Orlando has suggested exchanging Vlahovic for Zirkzee – especially if Vlahovic doesn’t sign a new deal soon.
Zirkzee was a star under now-Juve boss Thiago Motta at Bologna and a reunion may appeal to the Turin giants as Vlahovic’s deal runs down.
