Manchester United must prioritise attacking signings this summer and one Premier League star could still arrive.
The January transfer window closed without any attacking additions at Manchester United.
Three left-sided talents all arrived but with a view to bolstering United’s defensive positions.
Centre back Ayden Heaven has joined alongside wing backs Diego Leon and Patrick Dorgu, finding strong profiles for Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system.
United’s attack looks weaker though, especially in terms of numbers with Antony signing for Real Betis on loan.
Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa too, but United failed to make an attacking signings to boost Amorim’s firepower.

Manchester United target’s release clause emerges
United still believe in Rasmus Hojlund but more attacking quality is an absolute must come the summer.
Viktor Gyokeres remains on the United radar but it isn’t just about centre forwards.
Players who can fit into the two attacking roles behind the striker in Amorim’s system would be ideal and one Premier League star fits the bill.
Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha was wanted by United last summer having long been on the Old Trafford radar.
United were keen on Cunha heading into January but the Brazilian committed his future to the club by signing a new contract.
The Daily Mail now claim that Cunha’s new Wolves contract does have a release clause – and the value stands at £62million.
Crucially, it’s added that there are ‘no restrictions’ on which clubs can move in and activate that clause.
Some clauses are exclusive to Champions League clubs but United won’t be blocked from paying up for Cunha down the line.
Matheus Cunha should be near the top of United’s wish list
Cunha may well have offers from top Premier League clubs and United’s poor season means signing him could be a challenge.
Yet in terms of profile, we love Cunha’s fit under Amorim.
The Brazilian is so good at finding pockets of space in the final third to unlock defences either through his goalscoring quality or his creativity.
Cunha’s talent between the lines is something United really need and could seriously boost a struggling attack.
£62million is a hefty price to pay but Cunha’s display this season suggest that he may just be worth it.
Hailed as ‘phenomenal’ by former Wolves teammate Max Kilman in the Shropshire Star, Cunha is bound to attract huge interest due to this release clause – and United need to be pushing to the front of the queue.
