Manchester United are pursuing Atletico Madrid forward Matheus Cunha, The Mail reports.
United are desperately looking to add reinforcements ahead of the transfer window, and the Brazilian attacker would help solve the problem.
The Atletico striker is highly regarded by international teammate Antony, who talked up his ability in a YouTube interview with PlayStation in May.
Atletico value Cunha just above £40 million, which is lower than the £70 million price tag Ajax have placed on Antony to try and deter United from buying him.

Cunha ‘strikes like a horse’
Antony talked up the power Cunha has with his shots, and his pace. These are good attributes for any player to have.
He said: “Cunha strikes like a horse. He kicks very hard, it seems like something from another world.
“I think his strongest attributes is is his striking. Cunha is also a very fast player.”
The Brazilian has just benefitted from a year learning under Diego Simeone, which has sharpened his game, even if he spent most of the time as a substitute.
The 23-year-old is a player with high potential, already part of the Selecao squad, he scored 21 goals for Brazil’s under-23 team and helped them win Olympic Gold last summer.
In addition to being able to strike the ball powerfully, Cunha has a deft touch, showing this with an outrageous chip over the goalkeeper for RB Leipzig against Bayer Leverkusen which won the Bundesliga goal of the year in 2019.
His explosive and at times unpredictable qualities make him a player who can bring excitement to Old Trafford. We need a bit of this right now.
