Manchester United have turned their attention to Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans as their next transfer target.
While Manchester United are finalising a £48m deal for Andrey Santos from Chelsea, Ineos have turned to another Premier League target in Youri Tielemans.
Transfer journalist David Ornstein dropped a bombshell report on Monday that United are in advanced talks with Aston Villa to sign Tielemans.
Ornstein claims that Tielemans is keen on the move and that all parties are in contact to finalise the deal.

According to The Telegraph, Tielemans has a £35m release clause at Villa. With Villa hijacking the deal for Johan Manzambi, they could view him as a replacement for Tielemans in midfield.
United were linked to Tielemans during his time at Leicester City back in 2023. Now at 29 years old, he seems set to finally make his move to Manchester.

Tielemans was named Belgium captain ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and he played a key role in their run to the quarter-finals.
However, Tielemans was left out of Belgium’s final game as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Spain on Friday evening.

He suffered an injury in the pre-game warm-up, so United will hope that his setback was not a serious one.
Now that Tielemans is headed back to England, United can look to finalise a deal for the Villa star.
