Manchester United failed to make a signing on transfer deadline day but did stand firm on the future of one top talent.
The transfer window is done and dusted and there is a sense of disappointment in the Manchester United fanbase.
Ruben Amorim surely wanted another attacker having seen Marcus Rashford sign for Aston Villa.
Antony’s joined Real Betis too but there was no incoming movement for United on deadline day.
More outgoing business has been though with Tyrell Malacia joining PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night.
Ruben Curley left United for Stoke City too, but one young players was actually blocked from leaving Old Trafford.

Manchester United block wonderkid exit
United received a surprise approach on deadline day.
Como wanted to sign Gabriele Biancheri with the wonderkid striker continuing to make waves in the United ranks.
United stood firm and rejected Como’s move, pretty much telling Cesc Fabregas that there was no chance of Biancheri leaving.
The Daily Mail now claim that United’s stance is clear – there is simply no desire to lose Biancheri any time soon.
It’s noted that Biancheri is one of the most promising talents in the United ranks and the plan is for him to stay at Old Trafford for a long time yet.
If Como come knocking again this summer, they are likely to receive the exact same response from United once more.
Biancheri recently underwent surgery but his prolific campaign so far has been turning heads.
Biancheri had scored 23 goals for club and country by mid-November with the striker living up to his wonderkid tag.
United have shown a real willingness to sell young players, such as the aforementioned Curley, but there is no appetite to do the same with Biancheri.
Gabriele Biancheri international future under the microscope
The Mail note that Como’s interest in Biancheri comes as he attracts interest on the international stage too.
Biancheri hails from Cardiff and represents Wales at international level, featuring all the way through from Under-16 to Under-19 level.
Biancheri is though of Italian descent and could be eligible to switch his international allegiance down the line if he so wishes.
However, it’s claimed that Biancheri is very happy as a Welsh player and has no plans to switch and play for Italy any time soon.
Como may well have wanted Biancheri not only for themselves, but also with a view to tempting him into representing the Azzurri.
Right now though, it looks like Biancheri will be staying at United and staying as a proud Welshman, snubbing Italy on both fronts.
