Manchester United appear to have made their decision on Raphael Varane.
The French centre-back has been speculated to leave Old Trafford in the coming months but has become a starter in recent games due to a sea of injury problems.
Raphael Varane is also reportedly hopeful his Manchester United contract will be extended, despite it expiring next summer.
However – his decision may have been made for him, with Manchester United having decided on the fate of the Frenchman.

Manchester United make Raphael Varane decision
According to a report from the Daily Mail – Manchester United have decided not to use the option to extend Raphael Varane’s contract by 12 months, leaving him free to talk to other clubs.
They believe this to be true due to the fact the five-time Champions League winner is on £340,000-a-week.
Mail Sport has been told that United regard the 30-year-old’s current wages as hard to justify given his injury problems.
Triggering the extension would have kept Varane on similarly high wages and the club want to renegotiate fresh terms.
United are also seeking to reduce the wages of their highest-earning players more generally to free up resources for new signings next summer as they battle to comply with the various FFP rules in the Premier League.
If not Old Trafford, where next for Raphael Varane?
Despite the 30-year-old desire to stay – Varane will have to find a new club if the report is deemed to be true.
Bayern Munich are apparently preparing an audacious January bid for the Manchester United defender, hoping to get him on the cheap.
Another European giant is also intrigued, with Real Madrid potentially exploring a deal to bring him back to the club where he obtained so much success.
Quite sad if he does go, considering his desire to stay. Varane has played well when called upon towards the end of this year. But, after all, money does talk – and £340,000 is a hefty amount a week.
