Manchester United’s quest to sign more young stars of the future could see one of Sekou Kone’s international teammates arrive at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have wrapped up the signing of Bryan Mbeumo in a major boost to Ruben Amorim’s attacking options.
United’s pursuit of Mbeumo dragged on and on, but it has finally reached a conclusion with his arrival on Monday.
Further first-team signings may now rely on some outgoings, but Ineos will continue to look at young players for the future.
United snapped up Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre earlier this summer, with the striker then loaned straight on to Lausanne-Sport.
Southampton’s Harley Emsden-James is also joining United, with the Premier League approving his move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United eye Angers talent Dan Sinate
United will look for young talents this summer, but may already be preparing for the two transfer windows in 2026.
The Sun report that United are eyeing up Angers talent Dan Sinate, but a move to sign him this summer looks unlikely.
United are planning to track Sinate’s progress over the course of the season, ahead of making a move either in January or at the end of the season.
Sinate predominantly plays as a left-back, but also has experience of playing as a centre-back at this early stage of his career.
Sinate could fit in as a left-sided centre-back in Ruben Amorim’s three-man defence, but the teenager may look to settle down a little.
Previously in the Monaco youth ranks, Sinate left for Spanish side Alaves last summer.
Sinate lasted just a matter of months in Spain, though, and joined Angers in January.
Moving on again so quickly may not be ideal for Sinate’s development, which is why a 2026 move may make more sense, allowing Sinate to settle and play regularly in France.

Dan Sinate could reunite with Sekou Kone
The report notes that United spotted Sinate while playing for Mali’s Under-20s during the Maurice Revello Tournament earlier this year.
United already had one player in the Mali squad for that competition, with midfielder Sekou Kone (pictured above) involved.
Kone joined United last year, and there are high hopes for the midfielder, having shown considerable potential.
United have been linked with Daba Diakite, another Malian talent, and Sinate is the latest to emerge on the Old Trafford radar.
United will be watching Kone’s appearances with Mali anyway, but will now also use those games to keep tabs on Sinate ahead of a potential 2026 move.
