Manchester United are one of five Premier League clubs that have been linked with signing a striker who could replace Rasmus Hojlund for them, according to stunning reports.

The Red Devils bolstered the striking options for Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford in the summer after the arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in August.

United hijacked Newcastle’s approach for Benjamin Sesko and landed the 22-year-old Slovenia striker for an initial fee of £66.3m, with the deal worth £73.7m.

The Red Devils’ acquisition of Sesko marked the end of Rasmus Hojlund’s time at the Premier League club (for now), with the 22-year-old Danish forward shipped out on loan.

Napoli signed Hojlund from United on deadline day and the Red Devils striker’s season-long loan spell includes a clause for a permanent transfer of £38m.

Man Utd’s transfer position on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic after Rasmus Hojlund’s exit to Napoli

Manchester United’s deal for Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli would see the player’s permanent move triggered if certain conditions are met during his loan spell.

Hojlund’s United exit in the summer has left Ruben Amorim with two main strikers at Old Trafford, with Joshua Zirkzee playing second fiddle to Benjamin Sesko.

Dusan Vlahovic had been linked with United in the summer before the Red Devils made their stunning summer swoop for Sesko from German side RB Leipzig.

The 25-year-old striker is out of contract next summer and Dusan Vlahovic is free to speak with clubs outside of Italy in January 2026 and sign a pre-contract agreement.

According to TEAMtalk, United have continued to be linked with Vlahovic after the summer window closed, but there has been ‘no meaningful progress’ over a move.

Man Utd could face growing transfer competition over Dusan Vlahovic if the Juventus striker becomes a free agent in 2026

Juventus were open to selling Dusan Vlahovic in the summer and the Old Lady wanted to offload the Serbian striker from their wage bill and recoup a transfer fee.

However, Vlahovic’s Juventus wages proved to be a stumbling block over the summer and the Serbia international remained at Turin for the 2025-26 season.

TEAMtalk reports that United are not alone in being linked with Vlahovic and the Juventus forward has attracted the interest of four other Premier League clubs.

The publication reports that Chelsea and Tottenham have ‘made enquiries’ about the Juventus star, with West Ham and Newcastle also keeping tabs on him.
