Ruben Amorim has placed the spotlight on two Manchester United stars after the Red Devils picked up three Premier League points against Chelsea on Saturday.
The Red Devils avoided a late scare on the weekend after Trevoh Chalobah thumped a header past Altay Bayindir in the 80th minute to bring the match back to life.
Manchester United were 2-0 up at Old Trafford before Trevoh Chalobah netted for Chelsea, with the Red Devils and the Blues both being down to 10 men on the day.
Chelsea had seen Robert Sanchez sent off early in the first half before United were reduced to 10 men in first-half injury time after Casemiro’s second booking.
United led Chelsea 2-0 at half-time on Saturday evening after Bruno Fernandes broke the deadlock before Casemiro extended the Red Devils’ advantage at Old Trafford.

Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim makes eye-opening point about Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko vs Chelsea
Benjamin Sesko led the frontline for Manchester United at the start of the Premier League match, with Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo both playing behind him.
Bryan Mbeumo linked up superbly well with fellow summer signing Benjamin Sesko in the first half and the pair played a key role in Robert Sanchez’s dismissal.
Sesko flicked on Altay Bayindir’s clearance with his header and played the ball into the path of Mbeumo, who penetrated the Chelsea backline and was clean through.
Mbeumo went one-on-one with Sanchez and the Chelsea shot-stopper wiped out the United summer signing outside of the box in his bid to prevent the opener.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Ruben Amorim singled out the “really strong” Sesko and his link-up play with the “really aggressive” Mbeumo.
“It’s everything together,” he said on Saturday evening, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“We know that Ben[jamin Sesko] is really strong on the first touch and also Bryan is something that we see the characteristics of the player playing for the last team.
“You can feel it – every detail, every run, every touch – Bryan is really aggressive in these runs.
“We want that, we want to use the good things that he had for his former club.”
Ruben Amorim reveals the difference that Benjamin Sesko’s absence made for Man Utd in the second half against Chelsea
Benjamin Sesko’s performance was cut short at Old Trafford after United manager Amorim was forced to make a tactical change at the start of the second half.
Casemiro’s red card before half-time meant that Amorim had to sacrifice the 22-year-old Slovenia international for Manuel Ugarte in United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea.
Amorim insisted that the ‘really strong’ attributes that Sesko has in his arsenal were missing for the Red Devils after the United striker was hooked off against Chelsea.
“But those characteristics are really important for us and also in the second half, when we kick the ball, Ben was not there and we [missed] that a little bit,” he continued.
“They did a good job. Let’s move to the next one.”
United are now 11th in the Premier League table under Amorim and the Red Devils will face Brentford away from home on Saturday afternoon.
