Manchester United have been busy in the summer transfer market and could well do some business on deadline day.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have made four additions and that is soon to become five for the Red Devils.

Manuel Ugarte has completed his Manchester United medical and is set to be confirmed anytime soon. The Uruguayan midfielder is in a race against time to complete his move to Old Trafford and to be available for Sunday’s game against Liverpool.

Here is the latest news coming out of Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho

Despite reconciling with Erik ten Hag, Jadon Sancho looks set to leave Old Trafford but Juventus may not be able to get a deal over the line.

Juventus have pulled out of the race for Sancho as per Gianluca Di Marzio after the Italian side made a loan bid but did not include an obligation to buy in the offer for the Englishman.

According to a report from The Athletic, United now value Sancho at £25 million, which would be a £48 million loss on what the Red Devils paid Borussia Dortmund for the Englishman back in 2021.

Chelsea are also keen on Sancho but a deal may be a difficult one as they need to offload Raheem Sterling, who has also been linked with the Red Devils.

Raheem Sterling

Earlier this week, it was claimed that a potential swap deal involving Raheem Sterling and Sancho could well be on the cards for the Red Devils.

However, according to a post on X from Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are now discussing internally about making a move for the Chelsea winger who looks set to leave West London.

Mikel Arteta and Sterling had a good relationship during the pair’s time at Manchester City. With a potential deal for Sterling breaking down, the Red Devils could well be done in the transfer market.

Kaveh Solhekol meanwhile claims that Sterling will either remain at Chelsea or move to Arsenal this summer.

Carney Chukwuemeka

Were Sterling to move to North London, perhaps the Red Devils could ask for another player in return from the Blues in the form of former Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.

Chukwuemeka has not been given a chance at Stamford Bridge and the Blues could well loan the midfielder out before the transfer deadline.

Chukwuemeka would be a good fit for United but it is unclear if the Blues would do a permanent deal but the Red Devils are ‘considering’ a late swoop according to Francois Planteau.

Sonny Aljofree

Looking at the academy setup, teenage defender Sonny Aljofree is set to depart Old Trafford before tonight’s deadline with a move to Crawley Town in the offing.

According to Rich Fay, the 19-year-old centre-back has been looking to gain first-team experience and is set to join Crawley on an initial season-long loan deal.

Aljofree is set to follow in Radek Vitek’s footsteps in moving to Crawley, with the goalkeeper also completing a temporary move to the EFL League Two side back in January.

Scott McTominay

Scott McTominay flew into Naples yesterday ahead of completing his £30 million move from Old Trafford to Napoli.

The United midfielder received an incredible reception from the Napoli fanbase and that deal is set to go through before the deadline.

Similar to Ugarte, McTominay is set to see his move confirmed today and could be in line for a Napoli debut this weekend against Parma.
