Manchester United have now ‘changed’ their transfer stance over one first-team player under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford, according to reports in Italy.

Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim embarked on the start of the pre-season tour with Manchester United last week amid the summer transfer window.

Amorim’s men travelled to Europe first and United played out a 0-0 draw against Leeds United at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on Saturday afternoon.

The 40-year-old United manager was able to try out the new arrivals at Old Trafford, with Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon making their respective Red Devils debuts.

Following United’s encounter with Leeds United in Solna, the Red Devils will be visiting the United States this week for the next phase of their pre-season campaign.

Amorim is expected to see United continue their business in the window, including welcoming new players and offloading those that are surplus to requirements.

Man Utd have now altered their transfer stance on Rasmus Hojlund amid the summer window

Rasmus Hojlund has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer and the 22-year-old Danish forward’s future is up in the air under Ruben Amorim.

The Denmark international has suggested that he plans to remain at the Premier League club, despite interest from the likes of Inter Milan, AC Milan and Roma.

However, United are tipped to sign a new striker this summer and Rasmus Hojlund’s role under Red Devils boss Amorim remains unclear ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

The Peoples Person cited previous reports by suggesting that United would only allow Hojlund to leave Old Trafford if he was ‘sold permanently’ this summer.

The publication reports that the ‘situation has changed’ after United did not chase up on ‘offers of interest’ in Hojlund and the dynamic has been altered over the player.

According to reports in Italy, United would now be open to selling Hojlund, who is under contract until 2028, if one all-important condition is met over a transfer.

Man Utd’s latest ‘stipulation’ over a deal for Rasmus Hojlund amid the interest from Inter Milan, Roma and AC Milan

It has been reported that United have slapped a £38.5m (€45m) price tag on Inter Milan-linked striker Rasmus Hojlund, despite his struggling form at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils splashed out a whopping £72m to bring Hojlund to the Premier League club from Serie A side Atalanta in 2023 during Erik ten Hag’s reign.

Hojlund’s difficulties had extended into his second full season at Old Trafford and the Denmark striker netted 10 times in 52 matches across all competitions for United.

According to Corriere dello Sport, United’s current stance is that a loan deal would be accepted for Hojlund so long as a ‘mandatory’ clause is met over the agreement.

The Italian newspaper suggested United want the clause to activate on the ‘conditional’ measure that ‘a Champions League qualification’ is achieved by the buying club.
