Manchester United have been linked with a potential stunning swoop for one of Matheus Cunha and Casemiro’s Brazil teammates in 2026, according to reports.
Both Casemiro and Matheus Cunha represented Brazil in the summer and are key parts of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans with the national team for the 2026 World Cup.
Casemiro was recalled to the Brazil national team after the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti, who managed the Manchester United star during his time at Real Madrid.
Ancelotti stepped down from his role as Real Madrid manager at the end of the 2024-25 La Liga campaign and took charge of the five-time World Cup champions.
Cunha and Casemiro featured in Brazil’s 1-0 World Cup qualifier win vs Paraguay in June, which secured their country’s place in next summer’s tournament.

Matheus Cunha and Casemiro are Brazil teammates with Gleison Bremer and the Juventus star is now on Man Utd’s radar
Gleison Bremer has been capped five times for Brazil and Matheus Cunha and Casemiro could potentially cross paths with their fellow countryman at Old Trafford.
According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United are one of three Premier League clubs that have ‘scouted’ Juventus defender Gleison Bremer ‘over the past year.’
Chelsea and Liverpool could rival United’s interest in Bremer, with the three Premier League teams all ‘monitoring defensive reinforcements’ in the transfer market.
TEAMtalk claims that the 28-year-old Brazilian centre-back has his name ‘high on the radar’ for the trio of clubs and could become a key target in the 2026 window.
It has been added that the Brazil international, who is under contract with Juventus until 2029, could be open to a ‘possible move to England’ in the future.
Juventus’ stance on Brazil defender Gleison Bremer amid the Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool links
Gleison Bremer has become a key player for Juventus and the Old Lady face a real battle in keeping hold of the United-linked defender in 2026.
TEAMtalk suggested that the opportunity to move to England ‘could turn’ Bremer’s head, which would both progress his career and unlock new financial incentives.
Bremer played for both Torino and Atletico Mineiro ahead of his arrival at Juventus in 2022, with the defender making 95 appearances for his current club.
Juventus are ‘wary’ of the growing interest in the Brazil centre-back and are planning to ‘work hard’ to secure their investment in Bremer by keeping hold of him.
