Manchester United’s attacking struggles have now sparked Ineos’ interest in strengthening in the right-wing position.
The right-wing is just one problem area which is failing to produce enough goals for Manchester United this season with Erik ten Hag’s side missing 17 big chances in the league so far.
Goal scoring as a whole is likely the sole biggest issue right now – with just five Premier League goals scored in seven games.

The arrival of clinical bagman and club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy as a coach has so far failed to inspire goals.
This sees United sit 14th in the league which is a depressing new low for the club – closer to relegation than the top four.
In an effort to solve these problems, now a talented winger is being eyed up by the club – and it would be a very exciting addition.
Manchester United scouting Jamie Leweling
With Antony offering practically nothing in attack and clearly plummeting in Ten Hag’s eyes, a new right winger in 2025 seems more than likely.
This would see United sign a player capable of competing with Amad Diallo for minutes on the right – now Ineos have found one potential option.
Now, according to German outlet, Suedwest 24, Jamie Leweling has found himself being watched by United – among other top European sides.
United have had scouts present to watch Stuttgart and Leweling in action this season including to take in his performance during a 5-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Scouts will have been impressed with this performance as Leweling created three chances in the game and was a constant threat with his 51 touches.
Ineos will not be alone in their interest in the talented winger, as other ‘top clubs’ are reported to also hold an interest.
What to expect from Leroy Sane-like Leweling
With Leweling, United would be buying a player on the rise after he only cost Stuttgart £4.1m in the summer.
According to the Bundesliga website, the Ghanaian-born, German international plays exactly like Leroy Sane, a player we are familiar with from his spell at Manchester City – United have also been linked with Sane before.
The reason for the comparison is that both are versatile attackers who share similar abilities in taking on and beating defenders while also offering a threat in the opposition box.
Both Leweling and Sane have brilliant close control and are excellent at winning the ball back and then breaking into dangerous areas – qualities which would lend themselves well to United.
In this same Bundesliga profile piece, Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeneb praised the talented winger: “He is very difficult to defend against right now and causes problems for many defenders. He is perfectly capable of continuing to play as he has done up until now, which is a high level.”

These stats show some of his more impressive areas this season compared to other Bundesliga wingers.
He has scored one and assisted one this season too – which in six games is not a bad outlay, however, we would like to see more before he is signed.
