Transfer deadline day is speeding past and Manchester United are yet to resolve several big questions being asked of the squad.
Manuel Ugarte has not been announced, while Jadon Sancho’s exit remains a mystery.
Chelsea are leading the race to sign the winger, with Sancho giving his green light over the move. This is as Juventus have seen their talks stall to sign Sancho.
Now, United have reportedly been exploring whether they could sign Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea.

As Manchester United and Chelsea continue to discuss Sancho’s potential switch, now another name has crept up.
This is Chelsea midfield talent Carney Chukwuemeka, who is another player the Blues have listed as being surplus to requirements this summer
According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, United have explored making a deadline-day move to sign the 20-year-old midfielder from Chelsea.
The deal would be separate from Sancho’s possible move to Stamford Bridge, but like many deals involving Chelsea this summer, there is likely to have been a link as both clubs benefit.
Chukwuemeka would be a seriously impressive pick-up for United and it is a move we can get excited about should it happen.
Manchester United could steal a wonderkid from Chelsea
If United manage to sign Chukwuemeka, it would be a heist-like signing with the Blues giving up a very talented young footballer who has not been given enough game time at the Bridge.
Chukwuemeka would be a great signing for United, and he’d be a far more useful member of the team than Sancho is at this point.
Once labelled the next Jude Bellingham, Chukwuemeka could finally fulfil his potential at Old Trafford.
Signing Chukwuemeka would see a long-term target secured, with United also showing an interest back in 2021.
This would be an impressive deadline-day swoop which we would love to see come off. Time is running out though.
