The Italian publication has claimed that the ‘idea’ for Juventus is to ‘find a solution’ for Douglas Luiz before turning their attention to Sporting captain Hjulmand.
It has been reported that Hjulmand is ‘pushing to leave’ and is attempting to ‘convince’ the Primeira Liga champions to lower their asking price this summer.
According to reports in Italy, the 26-year-old Danish defensive midfielder’s entourage has now estimated that the player has a ‘fair valuation of around €30-40 million.’

Morten Hjulmand has been at Sporting since 2023 after he signed from Serie A side Lecce and he ascended to the club captaincy under Amorim at the Portuguese club.
The Denmark international is under contract with the Primeira Liga outfit until 2028 and it is believed that Hjulmand is ‘protected’ by his ‘huge release clause’ in his deal.
Sporting have a release clause of around £69m (€80m) in Hjulmand’s contract, but it has been reported that the club are ‘willing’ to ‘lower’ their asking price to €50m.
Calciomercato has reported that United have ‘submitted’ an offer of around €40m for Hjulmand, who is believed to be open to a move to Old Trafford this summer.
