Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt were on the same wavelength over what they have noticed about Manchester United’s pre-season campaign under Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils’ pre-season tour kicked off earlier this month and Manchester United faced Leeds United at the Strawberry Arena in Sweden, which ended in a 0-0 draw.

Following United and Leeds United’s friendly encounter in Solna, the Red Devils left Europe and made their way to the States for the next phase of their pre-season.

The Red Devils’ five-match pre-season campaign has Ruben Amorim’s men playing three matches in the United States for the Premier League Summer Series.

United faced West Ham in their opening Premier League Summer Series tie and the Red Devils came out on top against the Hammers at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

Bruno Fernandes netted a superb brace for the Red Devils in New Jersey and United defeated West Ham 2-1 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on the weekend.

Mason Mount drops an eye-opening assessment on Man Utd’s pre-season under Ruben Amorim this summer

Manchester United are set to return to action on Thursday and the Red Devils will face Bournemouth for the next match in the Premier League Summer Series.

The Red Devils will travel to Illinois and will play against fellow Premier League club Bournemouth at the Soldier Field in Chicago, with kick-off set for 2:30am UK time.

Mason Mount has now admitted that both the climate and the training facilities in the States have offered a different experience for the United first-team squad.

Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, he told club reporter Liam Bradford: “Yeah, it’s been good so far.

“First time here, so we’ve had the opportunity to have a little look around. The training facilities are amazing. It’s very hot.

“But that adds to it, you’re getting that different kind of training. It’s been brilliant so far; the lads have been working hard!”

What Matthijs de Ligt said about Man Utd training under Ruben Amorim amid Mason Mount’s remarks

United have been training in Chicago amid the pre-season tour this month and have used the facility of MLS outfit Chicago Fire during their preparations under Ruben Amorim.

Matthijs de Ligt, much like United teammate Mount, spoke up about what the different temperatures and facilities have provided for the Red Devils during pre-season.

“It’s going really well. Trained really hard,” he said.

“It’s a little bit different [with the] temperatures, a different environment, but it’s also really nice to see facilities, the facilities are really good, and yeah, it’s just really nice. Nice feeling.”

Following Thursday’s encounter with Bournemouth, United’s final match of the US leg of the tour will be against Premier League side Everton on Sunday in Atlanta.
