Manchester United will not be bullied into making a late transfer decision on Alejandro Garnacho’s future.
The United owners must sell at least one high-profile player to comply with the Premier League’s rules on Profit and Sustainability (PSR).
Most have been made available for transfer, including Marcus Rashford, who wants to join Barcelona.
And although Alejandro Garnacho became a target for Chelsea earlier in the month, United are adamant they will not negotiate the Argentine’s sale beyond a certain date.

Man United set Alejandro Garnacho transfer deadline
The Red Devils don’t want to sell Garnacho — but will if their £70 million valuation is met.
However, any club, Chelsea included, hoping to sign the South American before next Monday’s deadline, will need to act quickly.
That’s because, according to GiveMeSport, United have decided to cut off negotiations after Friday (January 31).
The club will only listen to proposals for the next 48 hours due to Ruben Amorim’s fear there won’t be enough time left to sign a replacement.
Unlikely both Garnacho and Marcus Rashford will leave
Rashford’s future is one of the most heavily discussed topics at the moment.
Amorim publicly criticised Rashford’s effort following his side’s 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday and that has prompted suggestions the 27-year-old’s time at Old Trafford is coming to an end.
And while Garnacho could still go, it seems unlikely Amorim will allow both wingers to leave, especially as Antony has already joined Real Betis on loan.
| Man United Wingers | Age | Position |
| Marcus Rashford | 27 | Right |
| Alejandro Garnacho | 20 | Right |
| Amad | 22 | Left |
| Antony (on loan) | 24 | Left |
Should the Red Devils’ deadline for Garnacho talks pass, fans will then expect at least one club to come in for Rashford before the window closes.
Although United’s number 10’s preference is to stay in Europe, Rashford has been warned Al-Ahli could make a take-it-or-leave-it offer.
