According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Roma have rejected a £34m (€40m) bid from Atletico Madrid for Kone.
However, Roma have reportedly set a “precise price” for Kone of €60m, which equates to £51m. United now know exactly what it will cost to sign the midfielder this summer.
The report claims Kone’s asking price has been communicated to interested clubs, including United and Premier League rivals Liverpool.
