Jose Mourinho could soon have a former Manchester United star arriving in Turkey after Fenerbahce submitted an offer for the player, according to stunning reports.
The 61-year-old former Manchester United manager made his long-awaited return to coaching last month after he inked a deal with Turkish side Fenerbahce.
Jose Mourinho had been sacked by Serie A side Roma back in January, which marked the end of his two-and-a-half seasons at the Stadio Olimpico.
The ‘Special One’ succeeded Ismail Kartal as Fenerbahce head coach and is preparing for his first season in charge of the Super Lig outfit.

Mourinho’s Fenerbahce could land former Man Utd star
Jose Mourinho will be keen to strengthen his squad options ahead of the 2024-25 campaign with Fenerbahce.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Fenerbahce have turned their attention to former Manchester United player Sofyan Amrabat and are in the race to sign him.
The Italian newspaper reports that Sofyan Amrabat is back with Fiorentina, but he is keen to secure a move away from the Serie A club.
Amrabat spent last season out on loan at Old Trafford after United signed him on deadline day in 2023.
United agreed an £8.5m fee to take the 27-year-old defensive midfielder out on loan, with an option to make the deal permanent for £21.4m.
However, the Red Devils were unwilling to meet Fiorentina’s £21.4m asking price and sent Amrabat back to the Italian club this summer.
Corriere dello Sport claims that Fenerbahce believe they ‘are [fairly] sure’ that they can land Amrabat this summer after United turned down the chance to sign him.
Fenerbahce’s offer for Amrabat
It is believed that Fiorentina have been ‘asking for €15million’ for Sofyan Amrabat, who is currently under contract with the club until 2025.
Fiorentina’s transfer price has ‘alienated suitors who were not even that convinced of him,’ specifically the likes of Olympiacos and Galatasaray.
Fenerbahce have reportedly offered a fee of ‘just over €10million’ and aren’t far off from the asking price that Fiorentina are demanding for Amrabat.
United have remained linked with Amrabat over the summer window, but the Red Devils have not made an offer to sign the Morocco international.
The Red Devils ‘will not spend €15million to welcome’ Amrabat back and would prefer another loan deal with the option to buy.
However, Fiorentina are ‘unlikely for various reasons’ to agree to a loan deal again and the Serie A club are ‘looking to sell the 28-year-old.’
