Ineos’ decision to make a move for Atalanta and Brazil midfielder Ederson received the backing of one of Michael Carrick’s Manchester United players, according to stunning reports.
Ederson is expected to be the first major summer signing for Manchester United after the Red Devils opened talks with Atalanta for the Brazilian midfielder in May.
United have agreed an initial £35m transfer fee, plus £3m in add-ons, to secure the services of the 26-year-old Brazil international from Italian side Atalanta.
The Red Devils are tipped to complete their move for Ederson, who is now heading to the World Cup with Brazil, in July amid Ineos’ midfield rebuild of the squad.
