Manchester United are yet to utilise the Ineos link with FC Lausanne-Sport, but that could change this summer.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is not only the part-owner of Manchester United but also owns FC Lausanne-Sport and OGC Nice.

Due to this, the arrival of Ineos sparked excitement over a possible multi-club model at United, but over one year on and these links are yet to be used in regards to transfers and loans.

This season, United sent three youngsters to train with Lausanne, but this was just for training, as the youngsters didn’t feature in any action.

Any inter-club deals with Nice on the other hand look very unlikely, with Ratcliffe preparing to sell the Ligue 1 side.

But now, it seems United are preparing to make the most of the link to Lausanne.

Sekou Kone could be set for Lausanne loan switch

It was last summer that United spent £1m to sign Malian midfielder Sekou Kone from FC Guidars.

The teenager took time to adapt to life in England and also the speed of the game; however, since Christmas has been one of the best players at under-21 level.

United views Kone as having real first-team potential under Amorim in the coming years. However, before this, United are planning to send Kone on loan.

Now it has been added to by the Mail Online that Kone is now expected to head on loan to Europe, with Lausanne emerging as an early front-runner thanks to the Ineos link.

It is believed that, along with Lausanne, clubs in Belgium and France are admirers of the youngster; however, United are keen to build a relationship with Lausanne, which makes them favourites.

This could see more than just Kone heading on loan to the Ineos-owned side.

Sekou Kone could join new Manchester United signing Enzo Kana-Biyik

Kone might not be alone on loan in Switzerland next season, as it is expected United will send summer signing Enzo Kana-Biyik on loan to Lausanne.

These two deals are unlike any other United has done in recent times, and see Ineos make use of the links like Chelsea has done so successfully.

Kana-Biyik and Kone could develop a relationship together on loan, which could benefit United in the future, as both have the potential to be first-team players in the future.

Amorim has already shown a willingness to give Kone a chance; however, a loan would be perfect for him to polish his skills and ability against senior opposition before becoming an option for United in the 2026/27 campaign.
