Iliman Ndiaye is among the options for Manchester United at left-wing this summer, but he has not been covering himself in glory for Senegal.
The winners of the 2026 AFCON final on the pitch, Senegal are tipped for a huge summer at the World Cup and Iliman Ndiaye will be a key part of this.
Manchester United will be watching Ndiaye in North America to gauge whether he is truly a player that is ready for the next level.
Everton are already demanding £69m for Ndiaye which is a price tag that might skyrocket should he light up the World Cup. But if his form in friendlies is anything to go off, there won’t be a danger of this.
What is your reaction to Manchester United’s interest in Iliman Ndiaye?

Iliman Ndiaye struggles for Senegal in international warm-up
Ndiaye has been in Texas, preparing for the World Cup in a warm-up match against Saudi Arabia and he hasn’t impressed.
After the game, Senegalese outlet, Sene Web, have reviewed his performance with plenty of criticism from the 0-0 draw.
“He stood out very little, and when he had the opportunity to do so, he was slow to let go of the ball.
“He had difficulty getting his opposite speed, which he exceeded only once.
“To illustrate his lack of influence against Saudi Arabia, Ndiaye touched only 35 balls (including 9 lost), 20 fewer than goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.”

Manchester United could be about to forget about Ndiaye
Ndiaye is absolutely one of the finest options at left-wing this summer, however, the reports are that Patrick Dorgu is now being considered a winger permanently.
This is unsurprising given how unstoppable he has been in attacking areas for United and now Dorgu has done it for Denmark as well.
Dorgu with Matheus Cunha means United don’t really need to spent £70m on another left sided winger and it likely means Ndiaye will be off the table.
United seem more likely to sign a left winger who is on the cheaper side, potentially a Bazoumana Toure or someone of a similar ilk.
Ndiaye isn’t helping himself with his struggles either, but he could switch on when the tournament starts.
