Former Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has suffered another health complication.
In the 68th minute of Denmark’s international friendly match with Ukraine, Christian Eriksen went down holding his chest.
Denmark and Ukraine players gathered around him while medics could treat him, and the match was suspended. It will not resume.
Eriksen collapsed at Euro 2020 when he suffered a cardiac arrest.
He later had an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator) fitted and was able to continue his playing career, going on to sign with Manchester United in 2022.
After his release in 2025, Eriksen signed with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
The situation in the Denmark vs Ukraine game is still a developing situation. Eriksen had started the match.
UPDATE: The Danish FA has released a statement: “Christian Eriksen is conscious and doing well under the circumstances.”
