But the Sun report that Manchester United loanee Odion Ighalo is very keen to make his temporary spell at Old Trafford permanent.
After years of expensive transfer flops who weren’t 100 per cent committed to the club, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has found a player desperate to play for Manchester United.
The impact of that cannot be underestimated.

The report says that Ighalo is so keen to join United on a permanent basis that he is willing to take a £6 million wage cut.
The move to China has clearly been lucrative for Ighalo and although United are capable of paying big money, he would apparently have to half his wages to sign permanently.
Ighalo reportedly earns £240,000 every week in China and his contract runs until 31 December 2021.
The Nigerian understands he wouldn’t get that same deal at United, but would happily sign on the dotted line anyway.
Solskjaer needs players who want to be here
Jose Mourinho’s departure had to signal the end of United’s expensive transfer policy of signing big names who weren’t always absolutely desperate to be at Old Trafford.
One of Solskjaer’s biggest jobs was to rid the squad of those players and turn United into a team the fans could fully get behind again; where the players were as committed as the supporters.
Ighalo is a perfect example of the type of player who will get the fans onside because he gives his all for the club, and is showing no shortage of quality.
United may have stumbled into the deal partly by accident, but it’s turning into a masterstroke.
A player taking a wage cut to come to United because they love the club is a complete reversal many of the transfers Ed Woodward oversaw before Solskjaer’s appointment.
It’s a more than welcome change.
