Manchester United have ramped up their chase for top midfield target Sofyan Amrabat, Fabrizio Romano has explained his hopes for the move.
Manchester United‘s injury crisis has meant they’ve been forced back into the market despite previously seeming done.
Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Raphael Varane have joined a long list of players on the injured table over the last two weeks sending United into panic mode.
A loan deal to sign Marc Cucurella seems likely to be completed now as he arrives to hopefully ignite his career following a disaster season at Chelsea.
Adding to this, Mount’s injury has left United woefully short in midfield which. has meant they are looking to bring in reinforcements.
The names on the agenda being Sofyan Amrabat and Ryan Gravenberch from Fiorentina and Bayern Munich respectively.

Amrabat move could happen
The deal for Amrabat seemed to be gone 48 hours ago, however now the entire mainstream is discussing it.
Fabrizio Romano has insisted talks are taking place informally as United prepare their bid for the Moroccan star.

It is believed that he could move to Old Trafford on a loan according to David Ornstein, but this would require an obligation to buy.
The Atlas Lions midfielder has been waiting for United to make their move all summer.
Romano on his hopes for the deal
Speaking on a KICK live stream on Wednesday night, Romano explained the situation around the Amrabat deal.
He said that: “If Sofyan Amrabat joins, I hope Manchester United fans will be very respectful with him, because he has been waiting and fighting to join them since June.”
This level of desire to join Manchester United can only be applauded and we hope in the end he gets the move.
Amrabat would greatly benefit this midfield at United, and would add so much control and safety to it, almost eradicating the horrible gaps we have seen recently.
What a signing he would be.
