Manchester United are actively scouring the market for new players this summer.
An agreement was reached for Ederson to join Manchester United earlier this summer, but a deal won’t materialise until after the 2026 World Cup due to the midfielder’s late call-up to the Brazil squad.
United are expected to sign more midfielders before the new season begins. There could also be room for a new left winger if Marcus Rashford is sold.
The Red Devils have been working on a deal to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham, but the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement over the transfer fee.

Man Utd take patient approach with transfer window
Football is not like a video game where you can conduct transfers in a matter of minutes, which is why United are taking a patient approach to the market this summer.
It’s worth noting that major tournaments like the World Cup can cause delays during the transfer window, but it will only be a matter of time before deals are confirmed across the Premier League and at Old Trafford.
Speaking on The United Stand, Daily Mail journalist Nathan Salt gave some insight into how people at United are feeling about the transfer window.
Salt claims United are taking a relaxed, patient approach, saying: “From people I speak to at the club. They’re pretty relaxed, pretty patient. Doesn’t seem like the fans are, particularly for the transfers. I mean, what football fan is?
“We always want players to come in and it like the shiny new toy that and then get a new one and get another one and another one.”
