At 39 years old, Ramos is hardly a long-term signing for United.
Under Ineos, United have preferred to sign younger players who fit into the long-term project at Old Trafford. Signing Ramos would go against that strategy.

Man United nearly signed Sergio Ramos in 2021
This certainly isn’t the first time Ramos has been linked with a move to Manchester.
United were linked with Ramos in 2021 before he eventually chose to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Years before that, reports claimed United bid for Ramos in 2015, but he instead chose to renew his Real Madrid contract.
