Manchester United are trying to get multiple deals done as the club prepare for the pre-season tour later this month.

Impressively, Ineos are working on several Manchester United deals at once, with defenders, midfielders and strikers on the wanted list.

The most advanced is a move for Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch press reported this week Zirkzee’s transfer will be concluded following the Netherlands involvement at Euro 2024.

Joshua Zirkzee agrees personal terms

According to Fabrizio Romano, Joshua Zirkzee has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.

Romano reports via X that Joshua Zirkzee’s contract will run for five-years, through to 2029.

He adds: “Manchester United are ready to complete Joshua Zirkzee in the next days, no issues.”

Joshua Zirkzee rejected Arsenal for Manchester United

Joshua Zirkzee shunned interest from Arsenal to secure his incoming move to Manchester United.

Caught Offside reported Arsenal were interested, only to be told Zirkzee has prioritised Manchester United.

The Red Devils are now finalising the fee with Bologna. While the club could simply pay his release clause, there may be another route.

Paying the £34 million could have negative impact for United in relation to Profit and Sustainability Rules.

The alternative is to agree a different structure with Bologna which allows the club to stagger the payments over multiple years, rather than pay it up front.

Talks are ongoing between the clubs to decide the best path forward, before Zirkzee officially becomes a Manchester United player.
