Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that a Brazil teammate of Matheus Cunha and Casemiro is set to leave his club in the summer amid Manchester United’s interest.

Matheus Cunha was a key Manchester United signing this summer and the Red Devils acquired the 26-year-old Brazil international from Wolves in June.

Ruben Amorim is a big admirer of the Brazilian attacker and Cunha had been tipped to leave the Molineux at the end of the 2024-25 Premier League season.

Cunha completed his move to United after the Red Devils triggered his release clause at Wolves, with the Premier League club paying a £62.5m transfer fee.

The ex-Wolves ace linked up with Casemiro this summer ahead of meeting his other United teammates after the pair were called up for international duty with Brazil.

Cunha has featured on the pre-season tour for United this summer and the Brazil forward is expected to play a key role for Ruben Amorim in the 2025-26 campaign.

Fabrizio Romano shares a key detail about Douglas Luiz after Man Utd have been linked with the Brazil and Juventus midfielder

Douglas Luiz’s future at Juventus was plunged into doubt this summer and the 27-year-old Brazil international is widely tipped to leave the Old Lady this summer.

The Juventus midfielder has only been with the Serie A club since last summer, with the Turin-based outfit signing him from Aston Villa in a £42.35m (€50m) deal.

Douglas Luiz, who is Brazil teammates with Manchester United duo Matheus Cunha and Casemiro, struggled to make an impact in his debut season at Juventus.

Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, spotlighted comments from Juventus’ Damien Comolli that Luiz had “disrespected” his club teammates.

Damien Comolli revealed that the former Aston Villa ace had “apologised right after,” but Romano added that Luiz “will leave” Juventus this summer after the incident.

Juventus’ transfer demands for Man Utd-linked Douglas Luiz amid the Red Devils’ pursuit of a new midfielder

Douglas Luiz has been subject to United’s transfer interest in recent weeks and the Brazil midfielder is currently under contract with Serie A side Juventus until 2029.

The former Manchester City player has also been subject to interest from Premier League clubs in England, including the likes of Liverpool, Everton, West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

Luiz’s 2024-25 campaign at Juventus was disrupted by multiple injuries and the United-linked midfielder only managed 27 appearances across all competitions.

Juventus are keen to free up wages this summer and recoup a fee for Luiz, who is being valued at €40m by the Serie A outfit amid the interest from English clubs.
