Ruben Amorim is probably desperate for the summer transfer window to arrive so he can put this season in the rearview mirror and prepare for the next, and he’s been thrown a bone.
Manchester United are already moving quickly in the transfer market, with the Matheus Cunha transfer close and the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik a “Here We Go”.
A striker could be next on the agenda but the options will remain open, especially if Ruben Amorim gets his wish and Sir Jim Ratcliffe repeats his Sporting trick at Man Utd.
In that case, Amorim and United have been given a boost because Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a certain Man Utd-linked star has changed his agents.

Man Utd-linked star ‘one to watch’
Amorim’s priorities in the window might be clear but it only takes one sale to make the need for a pivot to happen urgently.
For example, United are well stocked in central defence, especially after the emergence of Tyler Fredricson and the resurgence of Harry Maguire.
Even Victor Lindelof’s exit won’t make United light there and the same can be said for their wide options after the signing of Patrick Dorgu in January.
However, with United potentially eyeing a Champions League spot next season, they’ll effectively need two XIs to compete, which is where Rayan Ait-Nouri comes into the picture.
Wolves star has shone this season and has previously been linked to Man Utd. Now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that he is indeed ‘one to watch’ in the summer after changing his agents.
Romano said: “Wolves LB Rayan Ait Nouri has signed with CAA Stellar as new representatives. Algerian LB, one to watch in the summer as he can leave with several clubs keen on signing him after 5 goals, 7 assists this season.”
Rayan Ait-Nouri likely to haunt Man Utd
While a potential target changing agents and being one to watch is a transfer boost in normal circumstances, United’s scenario has changed.
With so many holes to fill in the squad, it is unlikely that United go for a player at a position they strengthened with a 20-year-old in January.
As such, Ait-Nouri is likely to leave Wolves for a rival and thus, haunt Man Utd.
Amorim will hope that he leaves the Premier League but he’s been linked to many Premier League teams as well who would love a player proven in the league.
His attacking gifts can potentially unlock another level in a dominant team because he’s already surpassed expectations playing for a team that hasn’t set the world alight in the league.
Amorim and United will just hope that the horse they’ve bet on (Dorgu), ends up being the winning one in the long run.
