Manchester United are embroiled in discussions over several players. The Red Devils could be one of the busiest clubs between now and Monday’s transfer deadline.
The Red Devils are expected to sign off on multiple deals. At least one high-profile player has to leave to not only allow Ruben Amorim more freedom in the market but also to ensure the club complies with the Premier League’s rules on Profit and Sustainability (PSR).
These important factors could lead to Marcus Rashford leaving in favour of a move to Barcelona and Alejandro Garnacho joining Chelsea.
It isn’t just attackers Amorim risks losing though. There could also be some outgoings at the other end of the pitch.

Tyrell Malacia in talks to leave Man United
Seemingly having no place in Amorim’s demanding 3-5-2 system, Tyrell Malacia is expected to depart Old Trafford before next week’s Deadline Day.
The 25-year-old, who was signed by Erik ten Hag, has struggled with injuries, and after featuring in just eight games since Amorim took charge, has now become a peripheral figure.
It is for this reason that United are open to letting him leave. Although Malacia moving to Juventus seemed a possibility earlier in the window, according to Record, it is Benfica who are now in the driving seat for the full-back’s signature.
The outlet claims the 39-time Portuguese champions are currently negotiating a loan deal with United for Malacia due to Niklas Beste heading to Freiburg.
Change of scenery needed
Malacia has endured an up and down time since his big move to United two-and-a-half years ago. It didn’t take him long to win the hearts of supporters, but injuries and other fitness-related problems have hampered his development, and in turn, limited his opportunities.

The defender was awarded a rare chance to impress on Thursday when United travelled to Romania to play FCSB in their final Europa League group game though. However, even though United comfortably beat FCSB 2-0, Malacia had a game to forget.
The 25-year-old started in a left-wing back role, and after being booked inside the first 10 minutes, was then hauled off at half-time with Alejandro Garnacho coming on in his place.
Now working under a new manager, the former Feyenoord star must move on again and prove he can adapt his game or he will almost certainly be one of the first names to be sold permanently in the summer.
