According to Fabrizio Romano, Botafogo midfielder Danilo has been offered to Manchester United as the Red Devils pursue a third midfield signing.
United have already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer to bolster the midfield, and now Ineos are scouring the market for one final midfielder who dominates duels and covers ground.
Danilo is clearly open to joining United this summer as his agent has offered his services. But United’s response will depend on how well the 25-year-old fits the profile that Michael Carrick needs.

Danilo offers nothing new to Manchester United
United have already added Santos and Tielemans to Carrick’s squad, and they symbolise a pivot in the midfield towards dominating possession and dictating tempo.
Both Santos and Tielemans thrive with the ball at their feet and are elite line-breaking passers.
The only weakness in Santos and Tielemans is their defensive work and their height. United’s third midfield signing needs to be a defensive-minded player who eats up ground and can dominate aerial duels.
Danilo is more of the same at United, so Ineos should ignore his proposal and move back to their own targets.
There is still positivity around Aurelien Tchouameni, while Carlos Baleba appears to be another alternative.
