Manchester United have an opportunity to sign Bruno Fernandes’ Portugal teammate Rafael Leao in the summer transfer window.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that Rafael Leao has decided to leave AC Milan this summer after seven years with the Italian club.
Previously, Leao has admitted to being a United fan, which has only added fuel to the rumours that he could make a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Michael Carrick confirmed that United are in the market for a left winger, and now United-supporting Leao is available. To strengthen his case, captain Bruno Fernandes is a big fan.

Fernandes has played alongside Leao at Sporting Lisbon as well as in the Portugal national team.
Previously, Fernandes called Leao a “phenomenal” talent and predicted that he still hadn’t reached his full potential at Milan.
As per Transfermarkt, Fernandes and Leao have shared the pitch on 40 different occasions for a total of 1,754 minutes.
They first shared the pitch in the 2017/18 season when both were representing Sporting Lisbon.
Fernandes and Leao have both assisted each other for one goal during their games together, and their overall winning record is impressive.
Across their 40 matches together, they have averaged 2.28 points per game, meaning they have won far more than they have lost together.
In terms of goals, when they have shared the pitch together, their teams have scored 110 goals and only conceded 38.

Fernandes and Leao will both be preparing for the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada this summer.
Leao has been called up to the Portugal squad despite struggling for form at Milan this season.
He will join Fernandes, who is “dreaming” of winning the World Cup with Portugal this summer.

By the time the tournament ends, or perhaps even before, United could have made a move to bring Leao to Old Trafford to make them club teammates as well as international colleagues.
Leao is expected to cost around £52m this summer and his dream move is to the Premier League and specifically to United.
