Bayern Munich player’s transfer stance emerges as Manchester United linked with 2025 move

Manchester United are unlikely to splash the cash during the January transfer window but continue to be linked with new signings.

Ruben Amorim has his first Premier League win at Manchester United after beating Everton 4-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Amorim watched on as Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee scored twice each to secure a thumping home win.

Amorim has been busy preparing for Wednesday night’s trip to face Arsenal with the Gunners posing a real test.

The January transfer window will not be at the forefront of Amorim’s mind just yet, but speculation continues to emerge.

This week has been full of speculation surrounding United and potential signings in 2025.

January spending may not be rife given United’s £185million transfer outlay over the summer.

Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz is one United target whilst Feyenoord talent Antoni Milambo is on United’s radar.

Add in rumoured United interest in Porto striker Samu Aghehowa and transfer speculation appears to be ramping up.

Another link emerging in Germany surrounds Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer.

Sky Germany reported on their ‘Transfer Update – Die Show’ segment, suggesting that United had a number of targets in mind – including Laimer.

Sport Bild now claim that whilst United may be keen on Laimer, the Austrian has no plans to leave Bayern any time soon.

The 27-year-old has only started three Bundesliga games under Vincent Kompany this season and may not play a key role moving forward.

However, Sport Bild suggest that Laimer is comfortable at Bayern and is not planning to make a move any time soon.

Ralf Rangnick told United to sign Konrad Laimer

Two players traded Bayern for Old Trafford over the summer as Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt joined United.

Laimer seemingly doesn’t plan to join them in Manchester but United may look to change his mind in 2025 if his playing time remains low.

Laimer’s name will be familiar to United fans given that former boss Ralf Rangnick told United to sign Laimer, as noted by the Manchester Evening News.

Rangnick knows Laimer from Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig, whilst Laimer now serves as key player in Rangnick’s Austria squad.

Rangnick may have left United some time ago but Laimer still appears to be on the radar; whether he can be tempted to join the Amorim revolution is another matter though.
